About Courtney

I am a professional wedding and portrait photographer located in sunny Southwest Florida. I reside on Sanibel Island with my husband, our almost 1 year old son Paxton James, and our chocolate lab “Cedar”. We previously lived in the Florida Keys for 7 years and only recently located to the “mainland” to be closer to family.

At the core I am a lover. Lover of romance, beauty, family, travel, nature, style, and life.

I first developed my affections for photography while studying landscape architecture and environmental design in both undergraduate and graduate school. Photographing beautiful landscapes and interesting architectural details became an instant hobby.  I quickly discovered that my true passion was photographing people. People in love, people who aren’t afraid to laugh a little too loud, and people who enjoy life.

My shooting style can be described as photojournalistic and I am constantly inspired by film, natural light, florals, and soft colors.
